In a journey marked by uncertainty and unconventional paths, I found strength in adversity. Leaving home at 12 years old was a lifeline, propelling me into a world of challenges and endless unknowns. Despite the struggle, I clung to the belief that life held more possibilities.
My pursuit of education, though unconventional, led me to college, armed with unyielding determination. Along the way, I met inspiring individuals and businesses that believed in my potential, shaping my career from humble roles to a director of people and culture.
This journey taught me the power of community, constant learning, and resilience. Now, my mission is to inspire you to embrace your unique journey, recognizing that our capacity to overcome challenges lies within.
As a competitive dragon boat paddler representing Ontario-based clubs, I’ve journeyed across the globe, racing against the tides and competing with champions.Today, I find myself not just navigating the waters but also coaching a recreational dragon boat team toward greatness.
And that’s not all—I’m diving into the thrilling world of outrigger canoe racing, all in the pursuit of building technical ability and discovering the wellspring of inner strength. It’s a journey that continually inspires me, both in and out of the water.
During the haze of 2020, Willow, my loyal Great Pyrenees, and I found solace in our daily walks. She encouraged me to escape indoors and spend time in nature, providing much-needed breaks from virtual workdays.
